Putting a balance to the varying weights and scale. There are many ethical reasons why you might charge a person more or less than the other.

Here is one reason:
#EDR 1: Volume Discounts

An honest and acceptable practice, particularly when everyone is given the same opportunity are discounts given based on quantity purchased.

Another reason is
#EDR 2: Cash Discounts

Quite a no of business owners offer discounts for outright cash payment. This again is ethical provided that the offer is extended to all customers and they are aware of the policy. The decision then is the buyers’ if they’d like to take advantage of the discount or pay higher price.

Again, another is #EDR 3: Category Discounts

Discounts offered to some category of people e.g students, less privileged, unemployed, elderly etc. Provided this policy is clearly communicated to and available to everyone within the selected category.

What you’d see in all the examples is that:

Discounts are based on established policies + Available to any and everyone who qualifies + No intention to deceive or swindle anyone = NO VARYING WEIGHTS
