Circumstances Based Consideration

#SucceedingWithoutBleedingSeries #WorkplaceSurvival #LendingDecisions

As a lender/creditor it’s legitimate for you to collect what you are owed but equally important is how you collect it.

Remember that you are running/desire to build a TIMELESS BUSINESS; a person /professional who is committed to living by TIMELESS PRINCIPLES.

So the way you go about collection will be different from what you’d always known to be normal – Law suit, Foreclosures etc.

It’s important that you consider individual circumstances.

You see, some circumstances might limit a person’s ability to pay their debt, not because they don’t want to pay but for their current circumstance. In such case it is important to offer such people the opportunity to discuss their difficulties.

So you asking, how do I know they are in such circumstance? You have got to engage them to know because most people would not tell because they’d rather keep that to themselves and go through it all alone. You know that type of “why bother your creditor with your story” demeanor

You see, people are more important than money. Have a word with them, be empathetic and see how together you can structure their ability to pay rather than heading to the court room- whatever than means to you.

Proverbs 22:1 Advisory puts it right when it says:

“If you must choose, take a good name rather than great riches; for to be held in loving esteem is better than silver and gold.”

I’d see you tomorrow still talking what to consider before and during collection.
