The IQ Question II

#SucceedingWithoutBleedingSeries #Business-WorkplaceSurvivalReloaded #IntegrityInTheWorkplace

As a manager you’ d interviewed candidates for available positions and based on merit candidates were screened to few numbers and have gone through the full cycle of the recruitment process.
A friend of yours called you to interview and consider his child for the position under consideration.
Straight on, you interviewed your friend’s child and recruited him on the spot.

How fair was that to others who have been interviewed for the job?
Well, you’d say: ” I didn’t violate any laws, lied to no one after all I did not and haven’t promised the job to anyone”

I SEE: Now ask yourself: “What’s my IQ – Integrity Quotient?”

Yes, you neither violated the law but you did alter the normal recruiting process; didn’t check work-related reference and allowed sentiment be cloud your judgement.

Proverbs 28:21 Chicken Nugget explains it better:

” Playing favorites is always a bad thing; you can do great harm in seemingly harmless ways.”

Again: I ask you: What’s your IQ – Integrity Quotient?
